Echo Research is an international market research company providing brand and reputation insights to drive performance improvement and transformation. It runs Britain’s Most Admired Companies study, the longest survey of corporate reputation in the country, and has served over 500 clients spanning all sectors since its inception in 1990.
Why Echo Research required a Business Continuity plan?
Echo Research were looking for a formal document containing detailed instructions on how to respond to unplanned incidents such as natural disasters, power outages, cyber-attacks and any other disruptive events. The purpose of this would be to minimise the effects of a disaster, so the business will continue to operate – or quickly resume key operations.
The concern was that disruptions can lead to lost revenue, brand damage and dissatisfied customers. And the longer the recovery time, the greater the adverse business impact. Therefore, a good disaster recovery plan would enable rapid recovery from disruptions, regardless of the source of the disruption.
Consultation process for the creation of a comprehensive Disaster recovery plan.
247 IT Services entered into a detailed consultation with Echo Research to cover several aspects of the DR plan, each of which would be discussed, and created with the clients’ unique requirements in mind. The Disaster Recovery plan would include several potential risks such as.
- power outages
- telephone system outages
- temporary loss of access to a facility
- fire, flood, or another event
This business contingency and IT security plan presents an orderly course of action for managing and, in the event of failure, restoring critical computing capability to Echo Research.
“247 IT Services in-depth knowledge proved invaluable in developing our disaster recovery plan.
